Mince with Rice

Cooked rice | |
500g | minced beef |
lamb, alternative | |
2 small | chopped onions |
1 Crushed clove garlic (or paste) | |
2 | Bay leaves |
.25 Tspn oregano or marjoram or half and half | |
2 | Chicken stock cubes |
1-2 Tspn corn flour | |
Fresh ground black pepper |
Fry mince in a little oil with the onions and garlic.
Dissolve stock cubes with a little boiling water and pour over mince.
Add more boiling water to just cover.
Bring back to boil and simmer for half an hour.
Thicken with cornflour in a little water.
Add pepper and little salt if required.
Serve on a bed of rice.
