Spiced Banana Squares

1 cup | self raising flour |
1 cup | plain flour |
2 teaspoons | mixed spice |
1/2 teaspoon | salt |
2 cups | brown sugar |
GROUP 2 | |
125g | roughly chopped butter |
GROUP 3 | |
1/2 cup | sour cream |
buttermilk, alternative | |
1/2 teaspoon | bicarbonate soda |
2 | mashed bananas |
1 | egg |
Add group 1 to food processor and process until mixed together. Add group 2 and process until it resembles fine crumbs. Take half the mixture and press into a lined slice tin. Process group 3 with remaining mix and pour over the top of the base. Bake for 45 mins at 180 degrees Celsius until cooked.
Cool in pan for 10 mins and then cut into squares. Store in an airtight container. Freezes well in individual portions for lunchbox treats.
