Quinoa-Black Bean Burger

    1/2 cup  quinoa
    12-15 oz  black beans rinsed, (15.5 oz can)
    1 small  onion finely diced, (1cup)
    1/4 cup  diced sun-dried tomatoes in oil, (6 whole finely diced)
    2 tsp  diced garlic
S & P
    2 tsp  Steak seasoning or rosemary garlic

Whole grain hamburger buns

Preheat oven to 350.

Cook: Rinse quinoa; in small saucepan add quinoa with 1 1/2 cups water. Bring to boil, cover & simmer for 20 minutes or until liquid is gone. Put 1/2 in food processor & 1/2 in medium size bowl.

Meanwhile sauté onion & sun-dried tomatoes until translucent (oil in tomatoes should be enough or you can add a tiny bit more.) about 15-20 minutes.
Stir in 1/2 the black beans, 1 1/2 cups water, s&p, garlic, & steak or rosemary-garlic seasoning. Simmer until most liquid is gone. Add to food processor with quinoa & pulse until fine.

In bowl with quinoa add mixture & other 1/2 of black beans and stir to combine.

Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
Patties: With moist hands pat into patties. About 1/2 cup each.

Place on cookie sheet & bake until both sides are brown. About 10-20 minutes.
