New England Clam Chowder

½ stick | butter |
1 medium | onion, chopped fine |
1 quart | milk |
2 cans | clams |
1 tsp | salt |
¾ tsp | pepper |
1 medium | potato, diced |
¾ cup | instant potato buds |
Directions:
Sauté onion in butter for 5 minutes.
Combine all ingredients except instant potatoes.
Cook over medium heat 30 minutes.
Add instant potatoes.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
