| 1 cup | white sugar |
| ½ cup | butter |
| ½ cup | Crisco |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| 2 cups | flour |
| 1 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 tsp | cream of tartar |
Directions:
Sift salt, flour, baking soda and cream of tartar together.
Cream sugar, butter and Crisco together for 5 minutes.
Add egg and vanilla.
Add flour mixture.
Let sit for 15 minutes.
Form in balls and then roll in sugar.
Flatten with a glass sipped in sugar. (If you don’t flatten, they will bake like a gingersnap)
Bake at 350 – 375 for 12 minutes.
