Fishmarket Apple Pie

For the Filling | |
1 ½ cups | plain nonfat yogurt |
1 large | egg |
2 tsp | vanilla |
¼ cup | flour |
2 ½ lbs | McIntosh apples |
For the Topping | |
5 Tbsp | butter |
5 Tbsp | flour |
¼ cup | brown sugar |
¼ cup | white sugar |
1 Tbsp | cinnamon |
Pinch | salt |
1 cup | chopped walnuts |
10 inch | deep dish pie shell |
Directions:
For the Filling:
Combine ingredients for filling and turn into pie shell.
Bake at 450 for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 35 – 40 minutes more.
For the Topping:
Mix topping ingredients into a coarse crumb.
Sprinkle evenly over hot baked pie.
Bake at 350 for another 15 minutes.
Cool before slicing.
