Tomato Soup (Grandma Israelsen)

Cook together for 30 minutes: | |
1 | tomato |
1 | thinly sliced onion |
1 small | bay leaf |
1/4 tsp | celery salt |
1/2 tsp | sugar |
Salt | |
pepper |
When done, add 1/16 tsp baking soda, and reheat. Make white sauce using 4 Tbsp milk, 1/2 Tbsp flour, 1/2 Tbsp butter.
Use equal parts of tomato and white sauce. Strain tomatoes and combine with white sauce. Stir with egg beater.
