Devilled Sausages

Ingredients | |
600 g | sausages |
1 clove | garlic, crushed |
1 | onion, thinly sliced |
1 large | apple, peeled and diced |
1 x 400 g | can chopped tomatoes |
¼ cup | tomato sauce |
¼ cup | barbeque flavoured sauce or hoisin sauce or HP sauce |
2 tablespoons | brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | malt vinegar or a splash of balsamic vinegar |
Method
Chop sausages into 1 inch pieces. Pan fry sausages until browned and just cooked.
Add garlic, onions and apple until soft.
Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over sausage, apple and onion mix.
Cover pan and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with rice or mashed potato and steamed vegetables.
