1 qt. | heavy whipping cream, (sour by adding 2 tsp. lemon juice) |
2 cups | sugar |
1/2 tsp | salt |
2 tsp | soda |
4 | eggs |
7-8 cups | flour |
1 tsp | vanilla |
Beat eggs; add sugar and soured cream. Add salt, soda and just enough flour to make a soft dough. (Start out with 6 cups flour, and add more as needed.) Dough should be soft but not sticky. Roll to 1/2 inch thick. Dividing dough into 2-3 parts makes for easier handling. Sprinkle with mixture of cinnamon sugar. Cut with a round cokkie cutter or regular size Kerr jar lid. Bake on lightly greased cokkie sheet at 350 degrees for 12-12 minutes.
