Shrimp Pot

4 medium | red potatoes |
2 to 4 ears | corn on cob, fresh or frozen |

2 pounds medium sized | shrimp |
2 (12 ounce) bottles | beer |
1 clove | garlic, crushed |
2 teaspoons | salt |
4 teaspoons | thyme |
2 | bay leaves |
1 teaspoon | celery seed |
1 tablespoon | parsley, chopped |
1/8 teaspoon | cayenne pepper |
(Or use shrimp boil seasoning)
Cook potatoes in seasoning for __ minutes. Add corn cook__ minutes. Add shrimp and cook for 4 minutes or until shrimp is pink. Place shrimp on ice to cool.
Wash the shrimp but do not remove the shells. Fill a large pot with cold water, bring to a boil and add all ingredients, shrimp last. Bring the water to a second boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 2 to 5 minutes until all shrimp are pink. Drain, chill and serve with melted butter and cocktail sauce. Serves 4 to 6.
