Slow cooker chicken soup (WW) freezer

SLOW COOKER CHICKEN SOUP (weightwatchers). ***** excellent | |
2 | parsnips, carrots, celery stalks cut into 1/4" pieces |
1 | onion chopped |
4 sprigs | fresh parsley |
1tsp | dill |
3/4 tsp | thyme |
1/4 tsp | pepper |
1 lb | skinless, bone in each chicken breast AND thighs |
7c | ff chicken broth |
Put chicken into small freezer bag then into large bag with everything except the broth.
Freeze.
Take out the night before and allow to thaw somewhat overnight in fridge. Add vegetable to pot, put chicken on top, cover with broth and cook 8-10 hrs on low.
1 hr before cooking time is up remove chicken, allow to cool for about 5 minutes
Remove meat from bones cut ( or shred) into 1/2" cubes.
Return to slow cooker and cook for another 50 minutes.
You can cook some pasta and add for chicken noodle soup before serving.
