Barley burger stew

Small | onion chopped |
1/4 C | chopped celery |
About 2 1/4 C | tomato juice |
36 oz | or three 12 oz cans, optional |
1/2 C | water |
1 tsp | salt |
1 1/2 tsp | chili powder |
Pepper | |
1/4 C | barley |
Cook meat and onion. Drain fat. Add the remaining ingredients heat until boiling. Reduce best, covet and simmer until barley is soft, about an hour.
