Funnel Cakes

| 2 | eggs, beaten |
| 1 1/3 cups | milk |
| 2 2/3 cup | flour, sifted |
| 4 tablespoons | sugar |
| ½ teaspoon | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | baking powder |
| 2 teaspoons | soda |
| 1/8 cup | powdered sugar |
| Vegetable oil |
Mix all ingredients (except shortening and powdered sugar) together with hand mixer until smooth.
Drip batter into hot vegetable oil into a lacy pattern using a funnel. Remove from oil when golden brown and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
