CORN - Corn and Green Chili Chowder

5 medium | potatoes, peeled and diced |
2 (14 3/4-ounce) cans | cream-style corn |
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can | cream of mushroom soup, undiluted |
1 (4-ounce) can | green chiles, drained |
1 large | onion, chopped |
1 medium-size | green pepper, chopped |
2 tablespoons | butter |
2 cups | milk |
8 strips | bacon, cooked and crumbled |
Boil potatoes in a large pot until tender. Drain, return to the pot and add corn, canned soup and chiles. Stir. In a separate pan or skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and green pepper until tender; add to potato mixture. Stir in milk and cooked bacon.
Cook until thoroughly heated; do not boil.
Makes 6 servings.
