stuffed mushrooms

20 large | white mushrooms |
1lb | ground Italian sausage |
4 tbsp | butter |
2 tbsp | minced garlic purée |
2 tbsp | chopped onion, (dried) |
2 tsp | cavenders |
turn broiler on low while prepping
pull stems from the mushrooms. be sure to completely empty the cap
set mushroom caps pit side up on vented broiler pan half full of water
in small saucepan melt butter. add onion, garlic, and cavenders. sauté over low heat for 7-9 mins.
put 1 tsp of butter baste in each mushroom cap
roll ground sausage into balls the approximate size of the mushrooms and push into the pit. the sausage will make a rounded cap slightly smaller that the mushroom cap.
broil on lower rack of oven for 20 minutes.
