This recipe uses real lard. Buy it by the pound. Divide the pound of lard in 3 equal pieces
    4 cups  flour
    1 2/3 cups  lard, (cold)
    1 tbsp  sugar
    1 tsp  salt
    1 tsp  baking powder

mix until crumbly add 1/2 cup cold water 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 egg beaten form into a oblong shape. Divide in 6 pieces

I don't like measuring lard in cups so the reason i divide it up. No other reason. Just use your hands to gather the flour with the liquid. Use flour on your counter top & rolling pin. It should roll out perfect. Freeze the rest until needed. Scraps roll out put sugar and cinnamon on for good "kid treats
". Bake until brown at 350 degrees.
