Butter Cookies
Nb persons: 36
| 1 cup | butter, softened |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 2 1/2 cups | all-purpose flour |
| 1 tsp. | baking powder |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tbsp. | vanilla extract |
| 2 tbsp. | orange juice |
*In bowl mix butter, sugar, and egg.
*Beat at medium speed until creamy.
*Reduce to low; add flour, baking powder, orange juice, and vanilla.
*Divide dough in half, wrap; refrigerate until firm. (2 to 3 hours)
*On lightly floured surface roll out dough 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness.
*Cut with 2 inch cookie cutters.
*Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.
*Bake at 400 for 6 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
*Cool completely.
*Makes 6 dozen (serving is 2 cookies)
