2-1/4 cups | sifted flour |
1/2 tsp | salt |
3/4 cup | margarine, softened |
3/4 | sugar |
1 | egg |
1-1/2 tsp | vanilla |
1 package (6 ounces) | semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Preheat oven to moderate 350 degrees.
Sift flour and salt onto wax paper.
Beat together margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla in large bowl until well mixed. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
shape dough on lightly floured surface into logs (2 x 1/2 inch). Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Chocolate coating: 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate pieces and 1/4 cup margarine. Melt in double boiler. Add more margarine if necessary.
Dip ends of cool cookies in chocolate and let settle on wax paper.
