Black & White Cookies

1/2 cup | shortening,, ( 1/4 cup margarine , 1/4 cup Cisco |
1-1/2 cups | sugar |
2 | eggs |
1 cup | sour cream |
1 tsp | vanilla |
Sift: | |
2-3/4 cups | flour |
1/2 tsp | baking soda |
1/2 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | salt |
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Stir flour mixture gradually into shortening and sour cream mixture. Chill 2 hours or over night. Drop by tablespoon for large cookies or teaspoon for small cookies. 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet in 400 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. Cool on rack. White icing: 2-1/2 cups confection sugar sifted | |
4 tbs | warm milk, add more if necessary |
1/2 tsp | vanilla |
Chocolate icing: melt 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate squares
Ice half vanilla half chocolate after cookies have cooled.
