Peas, Buttered, Master Recipe

16oz | frozen peas, one bag |
1t | salt, more to taste |
1T | unsalted butter |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
1. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the peas and salt and cook until the peas are bright green, about 2 minutes. Drain the peas and set aside.
2. Melt the butter in a 10 -inch skillet over medium-high heat. When the foaming subsides, add the peas and cook, stirring frequently, until the peas are coated with butter and hot, about 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
