    1c  sugar
    1t  cinnamon
    1 1/2c  walnuts, coarse chopped
    8c  tart apples, peeled and sliced.
(tart apples= Cortland, Empire, Jonathon, Winesap) also you can use same amount of canned sliced apples.
    2c  flour
    2c  sugar
    2t  baking powder
    1/2t  salt
    2  eggs, well beaten
    1c  evaporated milk
    2/3c  butter, melted







Preheat oven to 325ºf.
Mix sugar, cinnamon and 1 cup of the walnuts. Place apples in greased 9x13 baking dish. Bless with cinnamon/walnut mixture.
Combine flour, 2cups sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine beaten eggs and butter then add all at once to dry ingredient mixture. Stir until smooth. Pour over apples. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup walnuts over all. Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
