Given to me by a family friend. Great for those cold winter/rainy days, or those chilly days in fall. Shared by MAMA JO Ingredients
    1 lb.  ground beef
    1 or 2 lg.  onions, chopped
    2 cloves  garlic, minced
    1/2 C.  diced celery
    1  green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbs.  oil
    1 28-oz. can  tomatoes or 2 lb. frozen
    2 5-oz. cans  tomato paste
    2 C.  raw diced potatoes
    2 C.  diced carrots
    4 C.  beef stock
      salt, to taste
      pepper, to taste

6 or 7 coarsely chopped cabbage
Directions
Saute first five ingredients in oil. Add remaining ingredients except cabbage. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour. Add cabbage and simmer for 1 more hour, adding more water if necessary up to 3 cups.
