East Coast Overnight French Toast

1 Loaf | large French toast |
1-(8 oz.) cream cheese softened | |
4 Tbsp. | sugar |
Orange juice | |
half and half, alternative | |
5 | Eggs |
2 Cups | half and half |
1 Cup | milk |
3 Tbsp. | sugar |
Remove most of crust from bread and cube bread. Layer 1/2 of the cubes in the bottom of a greased 9x13 parking dish. Blend cream cheese and sugar. Add juice until thin enough to spread. Spoon over bread in pan. Top with remaining bread cubes. (Using ingredients from eggs and downward): Whisk eggs, half and half, milk and sugar. Pour over the bread. Cover and chill overnight. In the morning, bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or 1 hour until puffed and golden. Serve with strawberries or blueberry sauce or syrup. Add vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg to egg mixture if like.
