Baked, apple or pear

2 lg | hard pears or apples, (fugi, Rome, pippin, granny smith, johnathan) |
2 tsp | maple syrup or agave |
3 tsp | water |
1/4 tsp | cinnamon |
1 Tbsp | raisins |
Preheat oven 375 degrees
Slice off tops & set aside
With small knife or apple corer hollow out a 1" cylinder of each, be careful not to poke thru bottom
In small bowl, whisk together next 3 ingredients
Divide raisins between the apples or pears, then fill each with the liquid. Don't worry if filling doesn't reach top. It will expand as it cooks.
Replace the tops & place in a small dish lined with parchment. Make sure fruit fits snug. May need to fill space with foil to keep from rolling.
Cover dish with foil, then make 3 slits to vent.
Bake 35-45 min until tender.
Drizzle with extra syrup.
