Sweet chick-y nuggets | |
2 | skinless and boneless chicken breasts |
1 cup | milk |
1 | egg |
1 1/4 cup | flour |
2 tbsp. | powered sugar. |
2 tbsp. | salt |
1 tsp. | pepper |
Peanut oil or canola oil. Peanut is the best.
In a medium bowl whisk the egg and stir in milk. Trim away fat from chicken. Cube chicken into bite size pieces. Place chicken in milk mixture and cover. Let it marinate for 2-4 hours. This will make the chicken nice and tender. in a gallon size re-sealable bag combine flour powdered sugar, salt, pepper. Seal and shake to combine. Place about 2 inches of oil. If using a thermometer let the temp. Reach 375 degrees. Place 6-8 nuggets into the bag with mixture and shake till coated with mixture. Place into hoy oil and let cook until golden brown. Approx. 1 minute per side. Always check that nuggets are completely cooked. Remove and drain on a paper towel. Repeat until nuggets are cooked. Serve with your favorite sauce. Add garlic powder and seasoning salt to milk mixture. Do not coat all pieces of chicken at the same, coat each batch as you go. If you coat them all at once they get all gooey and stuck together. Better to coat them as you go.
