here's what you'll need.... | |
1 package | pillsbury crescent rolls, (or one of those new fancy crescent sheet things) |
4 oz | softened cream cheese |
1/4 tsp | vanilla |
1 1/2 tbs | sugar |
1/2 cup | jam OR 1/2 cup fresh berries, (mashed and mixed with 1 tbs sugar) |
[for this recipe i used 1/4 cup cherry jam and 1/4 cup blueberrie/blackberries. i wanted to try both]
step one: preheat oven to 350. open your crescent rolls and split at the seam into two sections. unroll unto a lightly floured surface.
step two: seal the seams with your fingers. roll out dough until about 1/4 inch thick.
step three: combined softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. spread evenly onto both pieces of dough.
step four: spread jam OR mashed berry/sugar mixture on top of cream cheese.
step five: roll up dough lengthwise.
step six: sliced rolled dough into eight even sections.
step seven: place cut sections into a lightly greased mini muffin tin.
step eight: bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top. then, allow to cool in pan for about five minutes.
step nine: remove from pan and lightly sprinkle with powdered sugar.
step ten: devour
talk about yumminess! and super easy, right? told ya!
