Leavellwood Apple Cheese

| 1 stick | butter |
| 8 oz | Velvetta cheese |
| 3/4 c | self-rising flour |
| 1 c | sugar |
| 2 c or 1 can | apple pie filling |
Soften butter and cream together with sugar in bowl. Add grated cheese and continue until well blended. Add flour and mix well. Put apples in buttered casserole dish (about 8 x 8 or 9 x 9). Cover with cheese mixture. Cover with aluminum foil and bake @ 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. You can remove the foil the last 5 or 10 minutes and allow to come to a light golden brown on top. Makes about 6 - 8 servings.
(note: If you double the mixture for a larger serving, only use 1 and 1/2 sticks butter, but double everything else.
