Canned Cream Soup Substitute Mix

2 c | non-fat dry milk |
¾ c | cornstarch |
¼ c | boullion, desired flavor |
2 T | dried onion flakes |
½ t | pepper |
1 t | dried thyme |
Combine all ingredients & blend well. Store in an air-tight container.
This replaces one can of cream soup. Great for casseroles. Adjust seasonings for whatever flavor of soup needed.
To use mix, combine ? c mix with 10 oz. water in a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup of 2 cup size. Microwave on high for 1 min. & stir. Microwave on high for 30 sec. & stir. Cook longer if necessary to make a thick concentration. Cooking time is dependent on wattage of oven being used. Be sure to watch carefully so that it doesn't boil over.
