Apple Crisp

    10 cups  apples, peeled & sliced
    1 cup  white sugar, (or brown)
    1 cup + 1 TBSP  all-purpose flour
    1 tsp  ground cinnamon
    1/2 cup  water
    1 cup  quick-cooking oats
    1/4 tsp  baking powder
    1/4  baking soda
    1/2 cup  melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Place the sliced apples in a 9x13" pan. Mix the white sugar, 1 TBSP flour & ground cinnamon together, and sprinkle over apples. Pour water evenly over all.
Combine the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda & melted butter together. Crumble this combination evenly over the apple mixture.
Bake at 350 F (175 C) for about 45 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
