    1 clove  garlic, minced
    1 medium  onion, chopped
    1 tablespoon  olive oil
    ½ pound  sausage, remove casing
    1 16-ounce can  diced tomatoes
    1 16-ounce can  tomato sauce
    8 ounces  water
    ¼ teaspoon  pepper
    1 teaspoon  dried oregano
    1 teaspoon  dried basil
    1 tablespoon  dried parsley
    12 ounces  penne pasta
      Romano cheese, grated

Sauté onions and garlic in oil. Add sausage and break into small pieces while browning. Add tomatoes, spices and water. Simmer for 40 minutes while preparing pasta. Add some sauce to pasta when done and serve with extra sauce on top. Top with grated Romano cheese.
