Scottish shortbread fingers

Use real butter | |
3/4 lb | butter |
3/4c | powdered sugar |
3c | all purpose flour |
1. Leave buttering large bowl out of refrigerator over night to soften(critical to recipe)
2. Heat oven to 325*
3. Using electric mixer beat softened butter until smooth and creamy, for about 2 min
4. Gradually add icing sugar beating continuously
5. Add flor gradually as well.
6. With clean hands remove soft dough from bowl and transfer to cookie sheet on jelly roll pan
7. Pat and press until dough covers pan
8. Prick surface with fork and press tip of teaspoon into dough around edges of pan.
9. Bake 325* for 20 min
10. Remove from oven. While hot sprinkle with granulated sugar-cut up
