Walnut butter cookies

1/2c | butter softened |
1/2c | granulated sugar |
2 large | egg yolks |
1 1/2c | flour |
1c | walnuts ground |
FROSTING: | |
1 large | eggs white |
1 1/4c | confectioners sugar |
1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat yolks in one at a time. At low speed gradually beat in flour until blended. Stir in nuts. Divide dough in half. Shape into 10 inch log. Wrap and refrigerate overnight.
2. Preheat oven 350*. slice dough 1/4 inch thick. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10-13 min until golden brown.
3. Make frosting- beat egg white in small mixer bowl until just frothy. Beat in confectioners sugar until smooth. Decorate as desired.
