First Family Egg Nog

1c | bourbon, (sub 1c water & 1 1/2 t bourbon extract) |
1T | vanilla extract |
3c | heavy cream |
3 1/2 - 4 c | milk |
1T | nutmeg |
6 eggs separated | |
1 3/4 c | sugar divided |
1/2 c | rum, (sub 1 c water or milk and 1t rum extract) |
1c | brandy, ( sub 1c water or milk and 1/2t brandy extract) |
In large bowl, beat egg yolks with 1/4 c sugar until light and frothy. Stir in rum, brandy, bourbon and vanilla. Chill 2-3 hrs. Stir in cream. Gradually stir in milk to desired consistency. In large bowl beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add remaining 1/2c sugar beating until stiff and glossy but not dry. Fold egg whites into eggnog. Chill until serving time. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve at once.
