Dessert Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

1/4 cup | butter, softened 4 oz creme cheese, softened 2 eggs |
1 tsp | vanilla 1 pkg chocolate cake mix 1/4 cup flour |
Filling: 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter 4 oz creme cheese | |
2 1/2 cups | confectioners sugar 3 T 2% milk 1 tsp vanilla |
12 miniature | peanut butter cups, chpd |
Cream butter and creme cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add cake mix and flour to creamed mixture and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 2 in. Apart on ungreased cookie sheets, flatten slightly. Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes. Cool completely.
For filling, beat peanut butter, and creme cheese until fluffy. Add confectioner's sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread on the bottoms of half of the cookies, sprinkle with chpd peanut butter cups. Top with remaining cookies. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
