| 1 tin | sweetened condensed milk |
| ΒΌ pt | milk |
| 450 g | Demerara sugar |
| 100 g | butter |
Lightly grease an 18 cm square tin.
Gently heat all the ingredients, stirring constantly until all the sugar dissolves.
Boil on a moderate heat for about 10-15 mins (until the soft ball stage).
Leave to cool slightly and beat until thick and grainy in appearance.
Pour into tin and leave to set.
Mark out squares.
