Pastry Shell: | |
1 lb | softened margarine 1/2 pint sour cream |
4 cups | flour |
Filling: | |
1 cup | milk 1 cup sugar |
2 1/2 T | flour 6 T marshmellow creme |
1 cup | Crisco 1 tsp vanilla |
Pastry: Cut softened margarine into flour, add sour cream. Mix well and chill overnight. Roll thin in a mixture of 1/2 flour and 1/2 powdered sugar. Cut in 7 x 1 inch strips. Roll on forms overlapping seams. Bake with ends of strips down on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
Filling: Make a paste of milk and flour cook until thick. Cool. Cream and whip crisco and sugar. Add marshmallow creme. Whip well. Add vanilla and flour paste. Beat well. Fill forms. You can dip ends of cookies in chocolate jimmies or chopped nuts. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Yields 5 to 6 dozen.
