Coconut Cream Pie

6 cups | Milk, (set 1 cup aside) |
1 1/2 cup | Sugar |
6 | Egg Yolks, (set Egg Whites aside) |
2 TBS. | Butter |
8 TBS. | Corn Starch |
1 tsp. | Vanilla |
Preheat oven 350* Bake Pie Crusts for 10-15 min.
Bring 5 cup Milk to a boil. Mix egg yolks, 1 cup milk & cornstarch and add to boiled milk. Add Vanilla, butter & coconut. Pour into pie shells. Makes 2 pies.
Beat together: 6 Egg Whites, 1 cup Sugar & 1 tsp. vanilla. Until eggwhtes form a peak. Broil Merange until a light golden brown.
