Artichoke Hearts Gratin

Ingredients: 6 artichoke hearts, drained | |

fresh ground black pepper to taste | |
2-3 tablespoon | plain breadcrumbs |
1/4 cup | finely grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese |
1 tablespoon | olive oil |

Cut artichoke hearts and place on paper towel for 15 minutes to dry. Place cut side up on cookie sheet lined with tin foil. Salt and pepper, Sprinkle bread crumbs on each heart, top with finely grated cheese, drizzle with a few drops of olive oil. Place under preheated broiler on high (about 5 inches away from heat). Broil for about 7 minutes. Can provide had a lemon to squeeze onto artichoke hearts when serving
