Pat's First Quinoa Recipe | |
1 cup | quinoa, (rinsed) |
1 3/4 cup | water |
1/2 cup | diced onion |
16 oz | refried beans, ( I used low fat vegetarian) |
1 1/2 Tbsp | veg oil |
McCormick Perfect Pinch roasted garlic and bell pepper seasoning to taste
In large skillet heat oil and diced onions 4-5 minutes
Add quinoa and cook 1 minute
add water and seasoning, stir, bring to boil, simmer 15 min. covered
add refried beans, recover and heat on low for 5 minutes
(if desired, add diced turkey or chicken during last step)
