Rhubarb Cake

1/2 c | brown sugar |
1/2 c | butter |
margarine, alternative | |
1 | egg |
1c | buttermilk or sour milk |
2 c | flour |
1 tsp | baking soda |
1 tsp | vanilla |
1/2 tsp | salt |
1 3/4 c | rhubarb, cut up |
Mix ingredients in order given, adding rhubarb last. Pour batter in 9x13 inch greased pan. Top with a mixture of 1/2 c brown sugar, 1/2 c chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
