Grandma Ulbrich's Potatoe Dumplings

Grate 3 potatoes | |
1 | onion |
3 | eggs |
1/4 tsp | baking soda |

Use enough flour so they don't fall apart ( you will use a lot). Have a large club roaster a little over half full of boiling water and drop In water by a teaspoon full. Watch or they will boil over. Boil slow for about 20 mins and test one to see of they are ready. Pour into a colander and rinse with cold water and then put them back in the roaster.
Cut a little more then 1/2 pound of bacon and onion. Fry slowly and use enough flour and about 3 to 4 cups of water to make gravy. Pour gravy over the dumplings.
