Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

1 1/2 sticks | softened butter, (3/4 c) |
1 c. | brown sugar, firmly packed |
1/2 c. | granulated sugar |
1 | egg |
1 tsp. | vanilla flavoring |
1 c. | all-purpose flour |
1 tsp. | salt |
1/2 tsp. | baking soda |
2 c. | Quick cooking oats |
1 c. | Quaker 100% Natural cereal |
1 c. | raisins |
1/4 c. | water |
1 tsp. | cloves |
2-3 tsp. | cinnamon |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix thoroughly butter, sugars, vanilla and egg. Stir in other remaining ingredients. Flour, salt and baking soda, before the cereal and oatmeal. Use the 1/4 cup water as needed to moisten batter, as it will get very stiff to stir! Mix all well with the raisins.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-16 minutes, as you desired. Secret: Do Not let dough sit around. Make cookies as soon as dough is ready.
Let cookies stay on hot cookie sheets couple of minutes before carefully lifting off with baking spatula, and place on cooling rack. Let cool for 20-30 minutes to avoid crumbling cookies.
