| Peanut Blossoms (aka nipple cookies) | |
| 1 3/4 cups | flour |
| 1/2 cup | sugar |
| 1/2 cup | brown sugar |
| 1 tsp | soda |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/2 cup | shortening, (or margarine) |
| 1/2 cup | peanut butter |
| 2 tbsp | milk |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 1 | egg |

48 hershey kisses (or lg chocolate chips)
Heat oven to 375. Combine flour, sugars, soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg. Blend at low speed. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 mins. until brown. Immediately top each cookie with kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Remove from sheet.
