| 1 C | softened butter |
| 1 1/4 | sugar |
| 2 | eggs |
| 5 Tbl | milk |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 1 tsp | soda |
| 1 tsp | baking powder |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 4 C | flour |
Mix butter and sugar till fluffy. Sift flour, soda, baking powder, salt in another bowl. Stir vanilla, milk, eggs into sugar mixture. Slowly blend in flour mixture. Chill for 2 hrs. Roll out 1/4 "thick. Cut into shapes. Bake at 350 till light brown.
