Ann Fazano conversions: Flour 4 cups = 1 pound sugar. 2 1/2 cups = 1 pound Spry. 2 cups = 1 pound 1 dozen jumbo eggs (15 large eggs)
    1/2 pound  melted crisco
    1/2 bottle  anise
    2 cups  sugar
    1/3 bottle  lemon extract
    6 tbsp  baking powder
    2 1/2 to 3 pounds  flour

Beat eggs, add sugar and spry, add flavoring, add 1/2 flour then add baking pwd and remaining flour
Cool off crisco a little then mix and knead on the board

Bake 6 - 8 minutes @ 350 - 375*
