    3 cups  Swans Down cake flour, (sifted three times)
    3 cups  sugar
    1 cup  whipping cream
    2 stick  unsalted butter
    6  eggs
    2 tsp  vanilla
    4 tbsp  cocoa for chocolate added to flour before sifting, optional

Grease and flour pan

Sift the flour

Put sugar in mixing bowl with butter

Cream together

Add eggs one at a time

Put in half of flour

then milk

then flavoring

then rest of flour

Mix well

Bake at 300 for one hour, 15 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

Move rack to 2nd position from top and trip 315 degrees instead of 300
