James Beard's Cream Biscuits

2 c. | all-purpose flour |
1/4 c. | granulated sugar |
1 T. | baking powder |
2 teasp. | kosher salt |
1/2 lb. | unsalted butter, chilled, cut into 1/2 inch pieces |
1/4 c. | heavy cream |
3/4 c. | walnuts , toasted and chopped |
Preheated oven to 375 degrees.
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add butter and rub it in you fingers until the mixture resembles a coarse meal. Stir in cream and nuts just until they are combined.
Roll out dough to a one inch disc. Cut into two inch rounds and bake until golden. 30 minutes.
