In a 9" X 13" pan melt:
    1 1/2 cups  butter
    1/2 cup  brown sugar
    2 Tbsp  karo syrup
Add:
    15 slices  French bread in 2 layers.
Mix together:
    5  eggs
    1 1/2 cups  milk
    1 tsp  vanilla

Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate over night.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle with cinnamon
Serve plain or with maple syrup
