    Unit  olive oil
    8 cups  beef broth
    1 cup  carrot, (s) chopped
    2 cups  ham chopped
    ¾ cup  celery chopped
    ½ cup  onion chopped
    6 ounces  chopped tomatoes canned
    ½ teaspoon  dried marjoram
    1½ pounds  lentils dry
    2 teaspoons  salt
    2 teaspoons  pepper
    1 cup  bacon chopped

Directions

Coat bottom of a skillet with olive oil and place on stovetop set to medium heat.

Sauté bacon until firm; remove from heat. Add bacon and remaining ingredients to stoneware.
