1/2 lb. | butter |
1 1/2 c. | sugar |
1 | egg, beaten |
2 Tb. | dark syrup |
3 3/4 c. | flour |
2 tsp. | soda |
1 tsp. | cloves |
1 tsp. | ginger |
1 tsp. | cinnamon |
1/2 tsp. | anise oil |
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and syrup. Add dry ingredients. Roll dough out into long rolls the size of your little finger. Chill dough. Cut into small pieces and bake at 350 for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
